Lekplatsbolaget on going playground projects.


The apartment association Snöstjärnan in Älta in southern Stockholm is actually on the track. When they would renovate their playgrounds they realised that it is a good investment to let Lekplatsbolaget renovate their four courtyards. They expect that the value of their apartments is increasing more than the cost of renovation. Playground areas are completed in October 2010.
Direct from Istanbul In October, we are going to lead a workshop for design students in Istanbul. The task is to develop themed playgrounds in Istanbul with Turkish themes. It's an activity when the traveling exhibition "Swedish Seeds" is visiting the city. Swedish Institute is the organizer. Direct from Turkey the journalists Umut and Hülya from the newspapers Radikal and XXI Design and Architecture Magazine came and visit our ongoing project and made an intervju with Ivar and Matte. More stuff going on - Per Anders Fogelstrom's books, a famous Swedish writer, are planned to be a playground for children. Bryggartäppan, or "the junkies park", as it is called by those living nearby, is a little grimy park in Stockholm. On behalf of the local District Administration Lekplatsbolaget has proposed a design based on a historical literary theme by Per Anders Fogel's books of Stockholm. If all goes according to plan so it can be ready for inauguration in June 2011. It takes money to finance the construction of the park, but "Money's a mundane thing," as Karlsson on the roof use to say, so it'll probably work itself out.
